ZEN BREAKS 69 - That is the nature of life

“Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.” ― Wayne W. Dyer

Life is made of change, this is the only constant.
Even if we insist on resisting, change will continue to happen.
Our fear of the unknown makes us want something more permanent. However, if the only thing we accept as a permanent thing is our fear, then life will pass us by.
It will be simpler, and more natural, to accept this constant change and learn not to fear it.
That is the nature of things and people, of life.
Everything will pass.
“It Will Pass
A student went to his meditation teacher and said:
"My meditation is horrible! I feel so distracted, or my legs ache, or I’m constantly falling asleep. It’s just horrible!”
“It will pass,” the teacher said matter-of-factly.
A week later, the student came back to his teacher:
“My meditation is wonderful! I feel so aware, so peaceful, so alive!
It’s just wonderful!‘
"It will pass,” the teacher replied matter-of-factly.“
