We are celebrating the announcement about AWS Lambda functions supporting Ephemeral storage of upto 10 GB. This month of March popularly know for the storage or in other words Pi Day filled month, we are looking into other great additions to the storage in the Serverless world!

AWS Announcements
If you were having trouble with sharing events for your AWS Lambda functions with fellow IAM users, now AWS Lambda function have made it easier for you with the sharable events.
The Amplify Geo category is expanding and has announced the new @mapsTo directive to iterate on GraphQL APIs without manual data migrations.
AWS Lambda functions now supports ephemeral storage of upto 10 GB which helps data intensiveย workloads powered with AWS Lambda.
Now Amazon EventBridge Schema Registry extends support to Go language for generating code bindings of the events and schemas.

Roger Chi talks about three serverless, lambda-less API patterns using the AWS CDK in his blog post. And in another blog post - One weird trick for sampling EventBridge events, he writes about how to create an EventBridge rule that samples a percentage (say, 1%) of events to send to destinations such as development accounts, testing environments.
George Offley shares his knowledge about how he overcame the issue of DynamoDB marshalled/unmarshalled JSON responses with Boto3 Python based AWS SDK.
Chirag Rathod in his YouTube video, explains how we can now create sharable events on AWS Lambda functions.

Shaun Ganleyย in his blog post explains about the the first look at Serverless.
In the YouTube video, Rekku Chinnarathod breaks down large processing with AWS Lambda functions and AWS Step Functions.

I, Jones Zachariah Noel aka zachjonesnoel is grateful for the positive response Iโ€™m getting with the newsletter and would like to extend congratulations to the new AWS Heros.
Also, would like to share about my latest blog post about AWS Lambda functionโ€™s sharable events.
Iโ€™m happy to share that Jeremy in his newsletter Off-By-None has recognised me as Serverless Star of the week based on my contributions to the AWS Community.

Recognition is a good motivator! Keeps you going on and on. Have been recieving a lot of positive response from the #AWSCommunity and now being the โญ of the week on #OffByNone by @jeremy_daly

Thanks @jeremy_daly and everyone at #AWSCommunity #motivation #recognition https://t.co/AdbH9wwvhw
Thatโ€™s it for the month of March and lots of new and exciting things coming up in April! Until then, happy building with AWS Serverless.
Did you enjoy this issue?
