Worthy: A Weekly Reset - #008

We finished our 8 Week Trial Run! Thank you 🙏 so much 🙏 for being on this journey with me, I hope it has been helpful to you. I feel so encouraged and inspired by you and am grateful to continue Worthy through the end of the year (at least)! With that – two things: 1. Share Worthy with a friend! Would love to have your peeps join us - pass along to your mom, sister, friend or neighbor! Just send em’ this link. 2. We have a few change-ups for the next few months:
  1. You’ll receive Worthy on Sunday afternoons. Over half of you said you would prefer receiving Worthy on Sundays to help set the tone for your week. If Mondays are more your jam, no worries. It’ll be in your Inbox when you’re ready to open it 😊
  2. There will be a ~theme~ each month. This is v exciting and will help us spend more time diving into different subjects. We’ll devote 4 -5 weeks to different areas (think: social media, consistency, boundaries… the list goes on 🙃) in order to better understand and consider information while taking more time to develop habits, reframe perspectives and set boundaries.
  3. Check-ins. We’ll touch-base each week to take a “pulse” of how we’re doing: How did you do this week? What habit was hardest to implement? What’s working / what’s not?
  4. Hoping to incorporate more from you! Worthy is a community of women looking to stay the course, stay curious and stay light. I would love to share more “from the field” (if you will) of you and your story. You can respond directly to these emails with habits that are helping you stay the course, helpful and/or challenging articles, amazing GIFs/Memes/Youtube vids, or topics you’d like to explore.

Prep Work for September:
  • How do I define body image?
  • How was my image of a “healthy” or “attractive” body formed?
  • Do I think of my body in a positive or negative light?

I heard so 👏 much 👏 good 👏 from you on what keeps you from being vulnerable. I’ll share more in the video below. Whatever it is that keeps you from being vulnerable, I guarantee you’re not alone!
Stay the Course
All we can control in life are our thoughts and actions. How do we bring our best selves to the day?
How can you embrace vulnerability this week?* How can you come alongside someone in whatever it is they’re walking through? How can you allow someone to come alongside you? How do you react when someone is vulnerable with you? Vulnerability can be scary and uncomfortable AND so worth it. I’m proud of you for leaning in, inviting others in and journeying forward together – we need each other, let’s do this together!

Whether you’re exploring Christianity or consider yourself a Jesus follower, you’re bound to learn something from their conversation. The two talk about dual and non-dual thinking, the lack of females in the Bible and the church and how God is relationship.
