It’s almost upon us! How’s your Christmas knitting coming on? If you’re a little behind – I always am – you may as well take a moment to relax and look at some treats that might be just the thing to reward yourself at the end of the sprint, or even as a substitute gift. You know. If it should come to that.

And finally
I’m constantly struggling to balance conflicting desires. I love stuff but hate clutter, not to mention waste and the environmental damage caused by consumerism. I know it’s a challenge for all of us, and lists of awesome stuff to buy don’t exactly help.
For myself, I try to concentrate on buying the things I actually need – not just whatever tickles my fancy – and where possible, using my purchase to support small business. I bought digital subscriptions to my favourite knitting magazines, because while I don’t need the patterns and have even given away my decades-spanning archives, it’s vitally important to me that those magazines should stay in print. I don’t need stuff; but I do need creators, of all kinds, to make a living.
Just a Card
I wish you all a wonderful, peaceful, cozy holiday season.
Happy making!
