Next up, it’s Shrewsbury Town at the Stadium of Light, kick-off 3pm!

The Twist | Shrewsbury Town (H) | Issue #26
Is it pronounced Shrewsbury, or Shrewsbury? I never know.
Thanks to Derek Smalls out of Spinal Tap, Shrewsbury Town are one of the cooler clubs in League One. Yes, even cooler than Trendy Dad FC themselves, Wycombe Wanderers. Cooler still than MK Dons, who were once sponsored by Marshall, makers of uber cool rock star amps. YES, even cooler than Charlton Athletic, whose owner is some kind of rock star.
For reasons unexplained, Derek Smalls - played by the man of a thousand voices Harry Shearer - chose to support the Shrews, immortalising the iconic yellow and blue striped kit in the process.
That’s where my interest in Shrewsbury Town beginneth and endeth.
We play Shrewsbury today. And, just like Oxford last weekend, and Gillingham the week before, I hope this is the last time we play them, ever again, except for some point in the future when we might draw them in the FA Cup.
In six weeks’ time we will know our fate. We will be headed for the Championship, or we will be steeling ourselves for a FIFTH season in League One.
It HAS to be the former. It has to be.
