Good Morning,
This is it, here we go…the Volvo Ocean Race fleet is expected to arrive in Newport tonight! Your presence is requested at Fort Adams to welcome them to the City.
Here’s the agenda for Newport City Council’s next Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday night.
Road construction this week: 
  • Portsmouth: Rte. 138 East and West, from Boyds Lane to Turnpike Ave., shoulder closures for construction, Monday-Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm.
  • Pell Bridge: Eastbound and Westbound Left Lane Closures- 5/7- 9 am to 3 pm. Eastbound Open Road Tolling Lane Closure- 5/7- 9 am to 3 pm. Westbound Right Lane Closure- 5/7 to 5/11- 9 am to 3 pm
  • Route 138 Connector: Overnight: Eastbound and Westbound Alternating Lane Closures- 5/7 to 5/11 - 9 pm at 5 am
