Good Morning,

Today is Rhode Island Independence Day. It was on this day in 1776 (two months before the other 12 colonies) that Rhode Island became the first North American colony to renounce its allegiance to King George III. No trash pickup and city hall offices are closed today in recognition of the day.

We are working on a What'sUpNewp member to talk place at a beautiful venue this month. Details coming soon.

In the meantime, we want to let you know to save a few dates because we’ve partnered with Jane Pickens Theater once again to bring some fun classic films to their historic theater. We’ll be co-hosting a very special screening of Caddyshack (1980) on June 20th and our annual Jaws Summer Party (1975) on July 25th.

There’s a whole bunch to get to today, so without further ado - here’s what’s up for today…
~ Ryan
