  • In accordance with a Presidential Proclamation, Governor Raimondo ordered yesterday that the U.S. and R.I. flags at all state facilities and buildings be flown at half-staff until sunset on May 22, 2018, in honor of the victims of yesterday’s school shooting in Santa Fe, Texas. Raimondo also asks Rhode Islanders to lower their flags as a mark of respect. 
  • If you follow the Newport Jazz Festival, you may have noticed a few special announcements. If not, here are the latest artist additions: Friday, August 3 - Sonnymoon. Saturday, August 4 - Laurie Anderson & Christian McBride: Improvisations with special guest Rubin Kodheli - Louis Cole Big Band Blowout with special guests.Stay tuned for more great news, including upcoming announcements for the Storyville stage, starting next week.
