Good morning,
  • Happy Summer! The summer solstice – the annual moment when the sun is at its highest point in the sky – occurs this morning at  6:07 am. That marks the beginning of astronomical summer.
  • June 21st has the most daylight! Today we have 15 hours and 11 minutes of sun.
  • Thanks to everyone who attended our throwback event, Caddyshack, at Jane Pickens Theater! Look for our next one, Jaws, on July 25th!
  • After a successful and sold-out public launch last night, Taproot Brewing Co. is now open at Newport Vineyards. Keep up with their schedule, brews, and more HERE.
  • Next week (June 25th - 27th) is the time for candidates to file to run for public office. We’ll have all the latest announcements (and surprises) for you as they come along over the next week. Are you running or do you know someone who is? Have them get in touch with us, we’d love to chat and share the announcement. For everyone else, start thinking about what questions you have for the candidates.
  • Today’s Cruise Ship: American Star (Capacity: 100 passengers, 26 crew)
