When bells ring throughout the town of Westerly at noon on New Year’s Day it will usher in a year-long celebration of the 350-year anniversary of a community that has shown great resilience, rebounding often from devastating major coastal storms.
The event will feature tastings from Rhode Island restaurants and food and beverage producers, as well as performances from a diverse variety of local groups. Admission is free with a suggested donation of a non-perishable food item to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
