Good Morning,
What a day yesterday was! Congrats and thanks to everyone involved in the celebration of the Newport Pell Bridge’s 50th Anniversary. Kudos all around.
Newport Mayor Jamie Bova joined Rebecca Boss, Director of the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals, Newport Fire Chief Brian Dugan, and other key elected and appointed officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday at 4 pm to mark the launch of Newport’s Safe Stations program. With the launch, Newport becomes the second community in Rhode Island to offer those suffering from addiction and substance misuse an open door to recovery services through its network of neighborhood fire houses.
Here’s a look at some of the things that are on tap or relevant for today.
Have a great Saturday,
~ Ryan
