Good Morning, Newport
Good Morning,
  • More than 500 students will cross the stage and graduate from U.S. Naval War College this morning. Keynote address from Secretary of the Navy Richard V. Spencer. The annual event will be held under a canopy on the college’s historic Dewey Field. You can watch the ceremony live beginning at 9:30 am here.
  • It’s a two cruise ship kind of day, welcome to the Norwegian Dawn (Capacity 2,340 passengers, 1,032 crew) and the American Constitution (Capacity 175 passengers).
  • For the sixth or seventh summer, What'sUpNewp will once again be presenting Laughter For Locals with The Bit Players every Monday night in July and August at 8 pm. Come on out for a great night of live improv comedy!
  • Speaking of our fun, be sure to join us on July 23rd and/or July 24th for Jaws or on August 14th for Kingpin at Jane Pickens Theater! More classic movies soon to be announced.
