Over the previous week, women’s issues were discussed a lot on Sina Weibo. Specifically two trending topics triggered debates on women’s safety and the pressure on women to get married: the video of one woman being attacked in a Beijing hotel, and the latest campaign of the SK-II skincare brand on China’s leftover women. What’s on Weibo covered both topics, and I spoke about the Beijing case in BBC’s World Have Your Say
