What's on Weibo
With 35 degrees celsius, it is hot hot hot in Beijing. As the editor-in-chief of What’s on Weibo, I have been invited to participate in China’s Visiting Programme for Young Sinologists, joining a group of 30 sinologists from 26 countries during an intensive studying programme - a great opportunity to meet experts from various fields and do research into a variety of topics on Chinese society, culture, and history. The busy schedule means that you might notice less regular updates on the site this month, but we try to keep you updated as much as we can. Check out the report on the recent talk by state theorist Hu Angang and today’s article on China’s booming gaming market - offering some insights into the latest digital developments of ever-buzzing and hot China.
Best,
Manya Koetse
