One West Kirby is calling for local businesses, community groups and organisations to register their Summer events for ‘West Kirby One Big Summer’.
They are compiling a list to help promote all events taking place, in West Kirby, between August 1 and September 18. It is free to register. Click on the link to register your events -
Hoylake and West Kirby RNLI in action
Hoylake and West Kirby RNLI in action
Hoylake and RNLI lifeboats were launched last Saturday to assist a yacht and a catamaran which had got into difficulty in Liverpool Bay.
A 31ft yacht had broken down and a 30ft catamaran was also in difficulty in the area. The lifeboats towed both vessels to safety in West Kirby.
Hoylake RNLI Coxswain Andy Dodd said: ‘The casualties did the right thing by calling the Coastguard as soon as they found themselves in difficulty.“
