IT'S BACK: Pay to park plan for West Kirby and Hoylake

Record bid paddle boarder, Brendon Prince, visited West Kirby this week.
Brendon is aiming to become the first person to paddle board around the British mainland to raise money for charity and raise awareness of water safety.

7.5 hour power cut hits West Kirby
Large parts of West Kirby were hit by a power cut just before midnight on Wednesday.
The outage affected many hundreds of homes and businesses in the CH48 postcode area as well as properties in Heswall, Irby, Bromborough, Thornton Hough and Neston.
Power was eventually restored at 7.30am.

Our local hero of the week is…Blind Pig, on Banks Road, which is offering a free soft or hot drink to help tackle litterbugs.
Pick up a bucket from the bar, fill it with litter and return it in exchange for a drink.
