Dog walkers rescued from Hilbre

It was a busy day for the West Kirby Lifeboat team on Monday.
They were called out to three women and two dogs, who were caught out by the extremely high tide, while walking back from Hilbre.
When they saw the tide rising ahead of them they walked back to the Island and called 999 and asked for the Coastguard.
They were brought safely back to dry land by the lifeboat crew.
