It's a sell-out as new independent fishmongers opens in West Kirby

The Seafood Shack officially opened its doors for business this week and the response from the local community was overwhelmingly positive. The independent fishmongers, on Dee Lane, is the brainchild of well-known local restaurateur Guy Lawrenson, who previously owned the What’s Cooking restaurant chain.

Woman with ankle injury rescued from Hilbre Island - West Kirby

Wirral Coastguard has rescued a woman with an ankle injury from Hilbre Island.

On Tuesday night, vandals set fire to West Kirby FC’s car boot sale, storage units, which contained donated items which were being sold to raise money for Wirral Hospice St Johns. The cabins also contained floodlighting equipment and a new boiler.
