Tea Time for Stress Relief December 1 & 2

Relax and take a break from your final exams with the Peer Health OWLs. Enjoy tea and stress-relieving activities!

Women’s Climb Night - December 1

Join the gals for Women’s Climbing Nights from 4-6 pm in the Student Recreation and Activities Center Climbing Gym. All levels are welcome to join! Shoes, chalk, and harness rentals are complimentary for women’s night. We will have extra female staff to help belay and provide any climbing instruction/assistance. The gym will only be available for women during Women’s night.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Training December 3

The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. The program teaches skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Available only to current KSU students, staff, and faculty. A valid KSU ID is required. Cost $40

Paddleboarding Clinic - Dec. 16

Join us for an intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding clinic! You’ll learn all the basics and get to test out the paddleboards available through the Outdoor Adventures gear rental program in the safe environment of the indoor pool at the Student Recreation and Activities Center. Registration is required for this event at mysportsrec.kennesaw.edu.

Holiday Facility Hours - Department of Sports and Recreation

The Student Recreation and Activities Center and Recreation and Wellness Center will operate on a modified schedule from December 14-23, 2021.

Monday-Friday: 7 am-8 pm

Saturday: 10 am-5 pm

Sunday: Noon-5 pm

The SRAC and RWC will be closed from December 24-January 3.

The Owls Nest and The Perch will operate on a modified schedule December 6-10, 2021, and will be open 11 am-6 pm. These facilities will be closed from December 13, 2021 - January 9, 2022.

KSU Indoor Sprint Triathlon Registration Open!

Be part of the first KSU Indoor Sprint Triathlon on February 19, 2022! Whether you are a seasoned triathlete ready to kick start your racing season, an active fitness-goer looking for a new adventure, or a supporter of a loved one, this is a family-friendly event for you. Participants will compete in heated timed events: 300-yard swim, 5-mile bike ride, and one-mile run. All participants will receive a “swag bag,” and awards will go to the top winners’ fastest overall times for men and women.

Registration is limited to 50 participants.
