Registration is now open for adult and youth lessons in private and group formats with the Department of Sports and Recreation.
Private lessons are 30-minute lessons, available to those looking for a smaller instructor to participant ratio. Lessons are scheduled with one participant per instructor during open swim times.
Adult Beginner Group Swim Lessons help participants gain basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes and teach skills and concepts needed to stay safe in and around water to help themselves or others in an aquatic emergency. Classes meet twice weekly and are 50 minutes long.
Adult Intermediate Group Swim Lessons are designed to improve participants’ proficiency in basic aquatic skills and the six basic swimming strokes. It also teaches the skills and concepts needed to stay safe in and around water and help themselves or others in an aquatic emergency. Classes meet twice weekly and are 50 minutes long.
