Freelancing is too often associated with cheap.
There are obviously cost savings for businesses that work with freelancers, but those cost savings don’t automatically mean a reduction in quality.
Freelancing is flexible expertise.
It’s effective professionals.
It’s ambitious leaders.
Freelancers are founders.
We are small business owners.
Many of the things that dampen the perception of freelancers and freelancing exist because a lot of people see freelancing as cheap, so, therefore-lower- quality alternative to full-time employees.
There needs to be a shift in seeing freelancing as a cost-effective way to get flexible expert services instead of “I need to offload this to some cheap labor living in a developing nation”.
What can you do to help shift this thinking?
Be a high-quality freelancer.
Always do great work.
Invest in your freelance business.
Invest in yourself.
