The food we eat ++ Fire at Kara Tepe++Update on Ukraine
By Aristea from Solomon • Issue #51 • View online
Hello there,
As part of the international campaign “Our Food. Our Future,” #Solomon is organizing the “The food we eat” online discussions to contribute to the understanding of how the way we eat contributes to global problems such as displacement and ecological collapse.
We are hosting exceptional journalistic works from around the world and, together, we are unfolding the story of our food.
Last Thursday, I was discussing with journalists Ludo Hekman (Lighthouse Reports) and Pol Pareja (El Diario) about the exploitation and labor abuses that migrant workers face in Spain’s largest slaughterhouse as well as how intensive pork farming may have contributed to one of Spain’s worst environmental disasters of recent years.
If you want to stay up to date and join the upcoming discussions then…
