GREECE: For the first time in a pushback case, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), have granted interim measures ordering that a pushback from the Greek islands should not take place.
UKRAINE update: On 18 March, UNHCR tallied the number of refugees outside Ukraine at 3.27 million. Inside the country, around 2 million are internally displaced, and an additional 13 million are directly affected by the conflict. As the Operational Data Portal on the Ukraine refugee situation states “as the situation continues to unfold, an estimated 4 million people may flee Ukraine”.
