New consumer features include:
- Support for class-based components
- Fragments (components with multiple root nodes)
- Portals (rendering a sub-tree in another part of the DOM)
- An improved reactivity system that escapes the caveats from v1 and v2.
- Support for TSX
There are also many improvements of internals that will provide better performance and reduced size.
There’s no set date for the release, but it sounds like it’ll be sometime in 2019. I think it’s going to be worth the wait!
