As we hear more about the term VoiceFirst, we wanted to write our manifesto of what we think VoiceFirst means. Our interactions with technology need to be multimodal, we are not expecting the world to move to a voice-only interfaces. Interactions will be multimodal, multi-device, context-enabled with voice as first interface. This is what VoiceFirst means fundamentally, the first point of interaction between the user and the machine, whatever that might be. Marketing agency AdTaxi released the results of the Online Shopping and Technology Trends Survey. From the results 24% of the respondents said they have used one smart speaker to make a purchase. Privacy, however, is an issue for respondents, as 64% said they are concerned about voice-activated smart devices spying on them. However, 46% said this concern would not stop them from purchasing one.

Alexa can now learn your voice automatically
Amazon’s Alexa can now learn your voice automatically. Setting up an Alexa voice profile allows users to receive personalized results when playing music, sending messages, and shop and buy without the need to enter a four-digit pin code.

Alexa and Amazon Echo now Available in France. We expect they will be continue to roll out in other languages soon. Amazon has taken this process slowly according to Dave Isbitski, Alexa Chief Evangelist because they want to make sure they take into account the cultural differences.
