A question: so what's the new look all about?
When we set out to create Vectr, we thought we would try to build the “most empowering knowledge sharing platform”. We use a number of principles (e.g. anonymity and ephemerality) to make people more comfortable asking and answering questions. But after a few pilots, it became clear that we also needed to build the “most organized knowledge sharing platform”. It’s important that users can easily view old questions/answers without the UI becoming cluttered or difficult to navigate. So we spent the last few months redesigning Vectr and hope you all like the new look and feel.
The first thing you’ll notice is the minimalist design. We’ve always talked about “ease of use” being an important design principle and we feel that shines through more effectively in our latest release.
Second, the knowledge exchange now takes up the entire screen. The idea here is to take full advantage of screen real estate by focusing on questions and answers. When you have a question, just click “ask new question” and the question interface drops down like magic!
You’ll also notice that we’ve taken the search and filter capabilities to the next level. Previously, you had to visit your “collection” on a completely different screen to view old content.
Now that’s not the case! Simply use the search bar and filter button right on the home screen to find anything you’re looking for.
There are other hidden gems in the new interface, but you’ll have to discover the others on your own 😉.
Don’t hesitate to let us know what you think!

Stay curious!
