Do you remember what you learn? - Vectr Weekly #14

A question: do you remember everything you learn?
I sure don’t. And It’s really frustrating! I’ve read so many incredible books and had tons of fascinating conversations over the years, only to forget much of their contents.
In speaking with students, educators, and professionals in many different disciplines, it appears I may not be alone. People often talk about taking classes or attending workshops, only to have much of what they learned evaporate from their minds shortly after the fact.
That, to m,e feels like a problem and also an opportunity.
At Vectr, we’re trying our best to come up with novel ways to help with information retention. For any network (class, project, work function, etc), we catalog themes and categories for every question and answer, and also make all content searchable by keyword, date, and network.
So similar to the way that Google’s algorithms are trying to organize and categorize information on the internet, you might say our algorithms are trying to organize and categorize information that’s trapped within people’s minds. And allow that information to flow freely across any type of organization.

Stay curious!
