The best content I've ever found. Mouthwatering concepts, tempting questions, juicy books, delicious songs, exquisite short films, and other surprises.

This weekend I finally made some time to finish a recap of my year (2018). I wrote it for myself, so I can look back at my years later, but I’ve found that sharing things creates a lot of value so here it is:

My Life in a Year: 2018 Recap – Re Human – Medium
Provoking Picture
The entire observable universe, in log scale. Assembled by Pablo Carlos Budassi.

Mouthwatering Concepts
Why do people believe crazy things like Astrology or that the world was formed 6,000 years ago, even though we have lots of fossils that are millions of years old?
Amazing perspective on why people believe these things:
People are embraced or condemned according to their beliefs, so one function of the mind may be to hold beliefs that bring the belief-holder the greatest number of allies, protectors, or disciples, rather than beliefs that are most likely to be true.
Great article that expands on this concept: Crony Beliefs.
Tempting Question
If you could teach something, what would it be? What would be the best (not necessarily most practical) way to teach it?
I would love to hear your answers to this! I’m working on something that could be useful for anyone that wants to teach things, so apart from a good reflection question, I’d love to know what you’d want to teach. Just hit reply.
Exquisite Short Film
4-minute video
Finger-licking Quotes
“Change before you have to” — Jack Welch
“Life can only be lived forward, and understood backward.” — Navajo saying
Re Human Stories
This week I finished this drawing! (copied a youtube video):
This week’s Re Human weekly reflection here.
Delicious Music
Lose My Cool and Love Me Right, both by Amber Mark, in my Zucchini playlist. Amber Mark is SOOO good. She blends many genres. From her Spotify bio description: “her new Conexão EP dazzlingly blends slinky soul and Brazilian bossa nova with sublime pop melodies, delivered in smoky vocal tones”. Great example of this description is her All the Work song.
Franc Moody’s remix of Lose My Cool is also amazing, more dancy-groovy type, in my Pamplemousse and Piña playlists.

Sofi Tukker and ZHU released a song this past Friday: Mi Rumba. Added to my Rompope playlist.
Reik and Sebastian Yatra also released a song this past Friday: Un Año. Fits hilariously in mirrey romántico moderno.
Ozuna recently released Baila Baila Baila, added to Aguacate.

I started these presents as a way to share amazing content with my friends, but anyone can sign up here. Who are the top 3 of your friends who would like these kinds of things?
