Mouthwatering Concepts
The Vacation Dilemma – Is the Ideal Life Lived or Just Remembered?
β€œAssuming a vacation was equally enjoyable in every moment, then a two week vacation should be twice as good as a one week vacation. After all, there are twice as many moments of experiencing happiness.”
β€œHowever, from the standpoint of memory, a two-week vacation is barely better than a one-week vacation. This is because there are no new memories added in this time, so all the similar moments of happiness are simply forgotten.”
Here we have the conflict. Say you’re about to decide your next vacation plans, which you’re reasonably confident will be satisfying.Β
Should you go for one week or two?
More exploration of this question in this great short article.
The Tempting Question created is then:

Exquisite Short Film
One of the most classic (and most hilarious) Pixar short films:
Only 3 minutes.
Exquisite Full Films
Watched Green Book this weekend. Loved it β€” reminded me of The Intouchables, one of my top 3 favorite movies of all time.
One lesson I took from Green Book was the importance of relationships and family. Dr. Shirley became a β€˜genius’ piano artist, but he neglected family and relationships, and it seemed he missed that. This time it was art, but more often it’s careers (although piano was his career). My mom visited me this weekend and we watched this movie together :). Great reminder to enjoy every moment.
Melt-in-your Mouth Podcast
Naval Ravikant just started a podcast. He has one of my favorite Twitter accounts, so I’m glad he’s doing a podcast now:
Breaker: Naval - Seek Wealth, Not Money or Status
Delicious Music
Chet Faker, who hadn’t released anything since 2014, released a new song this week! Sanity. In my Carrot playlist.
