I loved this time of year in New York. The shortened days and the slow descent into Thanksgiving and the holiday season. Although the work / life balance in New York was non-existent, I appreciated the city’s capacity to shut-down for the week of Thanksgiving.
It was a forced relaxation – “We must stop working now because it is Thanksgiving”. Quite the opposite of the long, lazy August of holidays in France. “Work? What is that? I’ve forgotten.”
As we ease towards the end of the year (full of failed resolutions, Best Of lists, and new resolutions formed), so the number of new roles being posted each week starts to slow down.
But I still have a healthy mix for you this week. Because I know where to find them.
There are currently 789 of you on this list. According to the internet, “driven people are associated with number 789…
On with the show.
North America
Dropbox want a UX Writer for their Design Systems team. This one’s in SF. Want to learn more about UX Writing at the company? Check out all the words John Saito and Andrea Drugay have written. Don’t say I don’t help.
Expert Support are recruiting for a UX Writer in San Francisco. “Former journalists (headline writers, copy editors) with experience working on software products encouraged to apply.” Journalists are typically the ones reporting on the nefarious things software products have done, but I like the thought behind this one.
Cypress HCM want a UX Writer in Los Gatos. You’ll need 10+ years of experience for this one, as well as a deep knowledge of TV and movies.
Dell are looking for a UX Writer / Content Strategist in Round Rock, Texas. As the name suggests, this one’s a bit of a hybrid role.
Creative Circle are hiring for a UX Content Strategist in Austin, Texas. They’re looking for people with a background in finance.
SailPoint are recruiting for a Digital Web Writer in Austin, Texas. Although this sounds like a role from 1999 there’s a good blend of UX Writing / Content Strategy in this one.
The BBC are hiring a UX Writer in Salford. It’s the BBC, do you need to know more? Get applying.
Devonshire have a job ad up for a Content Designer in London. It’s a 3-month contract.
Expedia are after a Content Designer in London. This one includes video and audio content design but you won’t need to edit.
Salt want a Content Marketer / Copywriter in London. This is more of a marketing role but some interesting voice and tone work.
OoDrive want a Technical Writer in Paris. If the job ad wasn’t in French I’d tell you more.
SThree are looking for a Digital Copywriter in Northampton. This looks a lot like the ‘UX Copywriter’ role for Barclays from a few weeks ago. Which speaks to the lack of awareness around 'UX Writing’ in the UK.
The AA are recruiting for a Digital Content Editor in London. You’ll be writing marketing and UX copy with this one.
Remote & RoW
I Want What It’s Worth are hiring a remote UX Writer. The company is based in NYC and you’ll be the first UX Writer. They’re looking for someone with 4+ years of experience.
Haptik are looking for a Chat Content Writer in Mumbai.
