Shednews: The Closing date for #shedoftheyear 2021 is 12th April 2021 (but you know lock down etc may change) - plus we have merged two categories for entry this year Unexpected/Unique https://t.co/Za605BRgWa
Amazing Sheddies
We look back at a previous winner to inspire your friends & family to enter their shed.
The allotment roof shed created by Joel won in 2014, is a very interesting shed as he put his garden on his roof but also used to shed for his art and his music - a very talented sheddie Joel
Joel has gone onto great things since his Shed of the year win - he builds brilliant sheds for people and is also currently the small garden expert on the BBC show #YourGardenMadePerfect

Tonight on #yourgardenmadeperfect I have my biggest budget of the series! To design something quite swishims for a family in Ealing
@tommasseyuk and @elkssmith battle it out for the other garden. BBC2 @8pm

Entries for #shedoftheyear 2021
Some great new entries for this year
Great to see businesses being run from a shed, have you been doing it during the lockdown?

The Bra Boss HQ - "I transformed it from a summerhouse to a lingerie boutique! I am a fully trained bra fitter & decided to launch my own business from home (or shed!) & I now work here full time! " Cabin/Summerhouse - Kent #elevenseshour #shedoftheyear https://t.co/Xpeg3wmovJ https://t.co/hOtH4zeDUY
This impressive build that is all hi-tech but a chill out space

The Yoga Cabin - "Wholly bespoke designed and built by myself, with smart full colour ceiling and wall lighting, integrated wireless sound system. Smart floor and heat source heating." Workshop/Studio - Essex #shedoftheyear https://t.co/U75YoHT4DT https://t.co/fFOuduR4Wh

The Hickshaw "Its a multi-functional, portable (on wheels), built from salvaged materials-shed structure. The goal was to make it as small & simple (to construct) as possible, & multi- faceted" - Workshop/Studio - Stoughton, MA- USA #shedoftheyear https://t.co/gAHJYfsaHY https://t.co/Y5IAK1iCIv
This workshop shed is getting a lot of likes/looks on Pinterest at the moment - it’s not surprising it’s a great space.

What did you do in the lockdown? Daniel and his son built a Saxon house - which is very shed like (and has now entered it for 2021)
Daniel Pearce
My 9 year old son for convincing us to help him build a Saxon house in the garden from recycled materials.

Shed Stats
Working on stats and the most popular counties when it comes to entries to #shedoftheyear, Essex has the most entries
Andrew Wilcox I❤️Sheds
Plus the sheds locations cover most counties of the UK - Essex being the most shed heavy (with >70 entrants) https://t.co/OYIyXbYiqU #shedoftheyear https://t.co/xR51LNPw94
Your Builds
If you are starting a shed build in your garden, could be storage, office, pub, workshop & definitely if it’s a folly, then let me know as I would like to follow the progress and pass it onto the sheddies who are maybe looking to do the same.
Spread the #shedlove #shedoftheyear
And finally...
We officially launched Shed of the year 2021 to the media this week, and it’s been busy but even after 15 years I’m loving it - the sheds are on fire!
