The author of this lifehacker article shares that her biggest time regrets aren’t spending too much time on Twitter or mismanaging her daily tasks. Those are bad habits, but there are bigger, more systematic time wasters that have really gotten in the way. I’m just glad this newsletter is worth your time! : )
72,283 people went for the Festive 500 this year. That’s an increase on last year’s 48,000 participants. Only 13,311 who were successful this year. Each year what it takes to win changes and this challenge will always bee a favorite of mine : )
Don’t ignore your nutritional goals when you come stumbling home after a beer too many and blow your diet after a night out by eating greasy drunk-food. Instead, reach for one of these satisfying treats. #protips
Millennials are pushing companies to redefine their goals, mostly in good ways but, accodring to a study of 7,700 millennials from 29 countries, Deloitte found that one in four wants to quit his or her job within a year, and 44% in the next two years. By 2020, only 16% expect to be at their current company. Women are more likely than men to have jumped shipped by then. If you work at Zappos, you likely already left ; )
What does this mean for startups & small / medium size companies? The challenge is clear.
Friend and client Gosia of raxdb.com and her colleague Matthew of codersco.com have bandwidth to take on a new mobile app project. They use tools like AngularJS and Ionic and have impressive back-end expertise, from classic SQL databases through cloud-based solutions like Firebase.
Their latest project is a demographic-specific social network offering all the usual features: friends lists, groups, chat and personalized profiles. (still in beta) Daniela Matthew’s team are not graphic designers nor UX experts but are ready to get your MVP off the ground! Have an idea? Rockit is a two day conference in Chișinău, Moldova. One day for digital communication and the second focusing on entrepreneurship. I’m speaking about sales at startups on day 2. This is joint venture between the Moldovan agancy Granat and Digicomnet, which is an outcome of a U.S. State Department sponsored exchange. That program focuses on tools for digital communication and startup infrastructure in the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine, Romania and Slovakia.
I’m elated & honored for the opportunity to join 500 attendees, 24 speakers and 50 international guests from 17 countries! Of course, I’ll be bringing my bike. ; ) Like the conf on FB & follow them on twitter.

The author of this awesome post about Dutch hotspots for cyclists writes: “Ten years ago, cycling was dutifully equipped as a means of getting to work or running errands in town. The only person watching the Tour de France was your dad. Cycling was not for fun, nor an exercise in mindfullness and your bike had better look like shit or it would be stolen.” Well that has all completely changes and I want to go visit LEV cycling café in Arnhem : )
