2019 Year-End Perspectives 2/4
By Kerry from Try Catch • Issue #12 • View online
Morning, Friday.
We’re back with another round up of retrospective looks at 2019 and the last decade, as well as remember that people have had some pretty wild ideas of what 2020 would be like during Y2K.
Let’s not forget two great cult-classics, the 1982 neo-noir flim Blade Runner and the 1988 cyber-punk anime Akira, were both set in 2019. At least there was no nuclear fallout dystopia in this reality of the decade.
We’ve got a new list from LinkedIn showcasing their top voices by industry for 2019, a super optimistic perspective of what 2030 might look like if we manage to remedy the troubles we’re having with the planet, and a dose of Black Mirror-esque vignettes of 2020 from almost exactly 10 years ago and much more below.

We’ll continue our 2019 Year-End Perspectives every Friday in December, that means there’s 2 more to go.
After all the presents are opened, eggnog is ignored, and fireworks are exploded, Try Catch Essentials will be back in January on the topic of Hyper-Growth - how to best grow when you need to andthe methods to best navigate growing pains.
