As the race towards the future of television heats up both Snapchat and Musical.ly have announced their newest collaborators. Snapchat has recently signed a two-year deal with Time Warner to create around 10 new shows exclusively to the platform from their popular channels like HBO (Mashable
). Meanwhile, lip-synching app Musical.ly has made deals with Hearst Magazines Digital Media, NBCUniversal, and Viacom to launch studio-quality, short-form shows on their platform (Tubefilter
). With so many apps throwing their hats into the ring will anyone actually be able to keep up with this inundation of streaming platforms??
