Is A Giant Rubber Duck A Giant Waste Of Taxpayer Money?
The Government of Ontario has ruffled a few feathers with their decision to provide $121,000 in funding to bring a giant rubber ducky to Toronto over the Canada Day long weekend. Critics have argued “what does it have to do with the history of this province or country” while the government believes it will benefit local businesses. I guess we will just have to wait and see whether the giant duck really is worth all of this fuss. The Toronto Star

Influencer's Can't Fix Your Crappy Idea
In the aftermath of the disaster known as Fyre Festival a lot of people in the media called out the Instagram influencers who participated in promoting the event but that isn’t really fair. If you don’t have a good product no influencer can instantly make it better. Influencer marketing when done well can be a tremendous tool added to any marketing arsenal but it can only get you so far. Brands must be able to deliver on the promise and expectations they ask influencers to create in the first place.
