Twitter: Le Spider-Man
Twitter is loving Mamoudou Gassam, the Malian migrant who scaled a building (in seconds!) to rescue a toddler from a balcony in France. The French media have taken to calling his hero Le Spider-Man (we ran this via our language experts, who found that it roughly translates to “Spider-Man”). His heroic efforts may even land him French citizenship!
The resemblance is uncanny.
StumbleUpon: Err, Stumbles
After 16 years, StumbleUpon (as we know it, at least) will shut down. The founders are moving on to a new app, Mix. Instead of living on as a standalone service, StumbleUpon will be integrated into this new app. So it’s not all doom and gloom.
