A New Look At Millennials’ Favourite Brands Shows A Few Surprises Climbing The List
YouGov BrandIndex just unveiled the results of its latest survey, which looked at millennials’ consumer habits in relation to their favourite brands. The survey revealed that Millennials prefer a mix of established and newer brands but with a heavy emphasis on digital brands. Social media companies like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Spotify all ranked high on the list, proving that the app market is still strong. Uber, despite its recent negative press, still managed to grab the number one spot, which may show that while Millennials may be more socially aware they still will choose the option that is most convenient and with the best price. To take a look at the full list, you can find it here on Adweek.

KFC Has Been Killing It With Their Recent Video Ads And We're Not Mad About It
KFC launched its latest advertisement on Monday which stars Kristian Nairn, who played the beloved character of Hodor on Game Of Thrones. The ad is a parody of Hodor’s demise in the last season of GoT and it has Kristian holding back a mob of hungry patrons while he seemingly comes up with their latest menu option “chicken and rice.” It didn’t take long for this ad to go viral (the video currently sits at almost 600k views on YouTube) making GoT fans hungry for both more episodes and hopefully some KFC for their premiere parties. Just last week KFC Canada partnered with YouTuber Brittlestar to create an epic Canada 150 tribute video that also went viral. Seems KFC is on a roll! Daily Mail

Snapchat Has Introduced New Photo & Video Editing Features
Snapchat unveiled yesterday 3 new features that will be rolling out globally to its users this week, Paperclip, Backdrops and Voice Filters. Paperclip will allow users to place links inside their snaps that will re-direct them to an in-app web browser page. Backdrops and Voice Filters are more self-explanatory with the former just being a backdrop for your snaps and voice filters will now be applicable on any snaps instead of only being available while using specific filters. Toronto's Giant Duck Ruffled A Few Feathers But May Have Payed Off
To celebrate #Canada150 this weekend, Toronto brought in the help of a giant rubber duck, which over the past few months has been ruffling a few feathers. Now that the results from the weekend are in, it looks like the duck was actually a good move as the Redpath Waterfront Festival broke attendance records and boosted the Toronto economy by $4.2 million. It would appear that the naysayers were wrong to think that the duck was both a waste of time and not relevant. The duck was promoted with the hashtag #WhatTheDuck and it even spawned its own parody account, TOrubberDuck! The Toronto Star
