“Closing our stores for racial bias training is just one step in a journey that requires dedication from every level of our company and partnerships in our local communities.”

Shorty Awards: Winners & Losers
Following the Shorty Awards over the weekend, the real winners and losers have come to light. The “Blinking White Man” won Best GIF and “Distracted Boyfriend” took away Best Meme. However, the most talked about moment came from one of the hosts, Adam Pally, who decided that presenting an award would be the best moment to have a complete breakdown. What started off as an attempt to play “too cool for this” got awkward real quick as he was escorted off stage.
UPDATE: It seems that the video footage of this has been pulled from the web.
Viral: Momma Muscle Memory
At the time of writing, this post has climbed to the front page of Reddit and it’s adorable. This tired out mom has her baby in her arms but a force of habit causes her other arm to rock an empty rocking chair. Hilarity ensues as she’s reminded of this fact. Any parent can relate to being this tired.
Facebook: Weathering The Storm?
As bad news about the potential fines over the Tag Suggestions feature emerges, it seems that Facebook actually hasn’t lost that much ground…yet. Facebook’s VP of Global Marketing, Carolyn Everson, states that they’ve “not seen wild changes in behaviour“ after the #DeleteFacebook campaign. Although, we guess it’s kind of her job to say that. We’re going to wait for an independent study (preferably after the CONSENT Act comes through) to see clearer results.
It seems that this media-storm might not STOP Facebook after all.
Snapchat: Lenses For Everyone!
Get ready to see a lot of faces, because Snapchat has opened face filter creation to everyone for Snap Lenses! This comes with the ongoing support of the Snapchat team as part of the “Official Creator Program”. We can’t wait to play with this!
Now you can play with your faces! (Any excuse to use this amazing GIF)
