Tom Hanks Discovers Mystery Building and Creeps Out The Internet
Known for his infamously cryptic tweets of orphaned items on the New York streets, Tom Hanks’ tweets took a very different turn when he posted a mystery building to his account with the caption “This is the scariest building I’ve ever seen! WTF goes on inside?? Hanx.” Rumours are that the building belongs to national telecommunications giant AT&T, but some sources have uncovered that it has it’s own water and power sources, making it capable of surviving nuclear fallout. One Love Manchester: Ariana Grande and Friends Raise +£2 million in Donations
Following the May 22nd attack during one of her concerts, Ariana Grande returned to Manchester for the One Love Manchester benefit concert on Sunday, raising funds for the Mancunians who were affected by the attack via the We Heart MCR Emergency Fund. The star-studded lineup included Mac Miller, Pharrell, The Black Eyed Peas, Lil Mix, and more, closing with Manchester’s own Liam Gallagher of Oasis, followed by a tearful performance of “Over the Rainbow” by Grande herself. The emotional event left many present and those watching at home deeply affected, especially in light of the attack on civilians at London Bridge, which killed at least 7 people, one being Canadian Christine Archibald. telegraph

Trudeau and The Terminator Take On World Environment Day!
In light of Trump’s announcement that the United States will be no longer be taking part in the Paris Climate Change Accord, it’s nice to see something a bit more positive in the news on World Environment Day. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a paddle down the Niagara River, and then gave a speech on climate change while still wearing his life vest. Things are looking a little brighter, with Arnold Schwarzenegger posting a video that went viral, condemning Trump’s actions in Europe the previous week, quoting his Terminator role when he said “One man can’t stop our clean energy revolution. And one man can’t go back in time — only I can do that.” Is there a Terminator reboot featuring Trudeau as the sidekick as they fight environmental issues on the horizon? We can only dream. global news

The Hardest Working Bag in the World Turns 30
The iconic 99 cent blue Fraka bag is celebrating it’s 30th year, and Ikea planned to celebrate it’s birthday with a loving tribute to the “democratic design” piece that launched this weekend. This was planned long before the Balenciaga leather version broke the internet in April, to which they responded with the help of creative agency Acne brilliantly. Now, they have joined forces again with the furniture giant to create the video launched last week celebrating the “world’s hardest working bag”. adweek

The Appocalypse is Nigh: Apple Imagines a World Without Apps
It’s a crazy world out there, and it would be even crazier without apps like Waze, Instagram, and Tinder to show us where to go, where to eat and who to date. This “Appocalypse’ was imagined in a video launching the World Wide Developers Conference today, showing the world without developers to create the apps we’ve all become so reliant on. The 1984-esque world shown in the 3 minute video is the result of a new employee accidentally unplugging the actual servers, causing all apps to disappear from iPhones around the world. Though the video was meant to encourage developers to choose the app-creation path, the video causes the general public to be concerned at the commentary this makes about smartphone reliance. Adweek
