Google Dodged How Much Tax?!
The more we hear about big corporations dodging taxes, the crazier it seems. This time around, Google used the “Dutch Sandwich” trick to shield a jaw-dropping $19.2 BILLION dollars in 2016. Tut, tut… We wish the big boys would play nice.

Slender Man's Big Break
Internet myth, Slender Man caught his first big-screen break today. A trailer has dropped for the Slender Man movie, based on the product of internet fan-fiction (also known as creepypasta.) Although reactions seem mixed, this isn’t the first time that our gangly old pal has hopped from one medium to another; in 2012 he starred in his very own first-person horror game. It looks like he’s reaching for the stars. Geddit? Because he has long arms.

Kentucky Fried Satire
With its own version of a recent Donald Trump tweet, KFC’s social media team managed to troll both the President and rival fast food chain, McDonald’s. Swapping out “the big red button” for a delicious box meal, the tweet has gathered over 120,000 likes. Judging by McDonald’s previous tweets (as covered in a previous Daily Distraction) we think that Ronald may lose this battle.

Spotify Sued Over Song Licensing
Spotify has been hit with another lawsuit regarding the lack of licenses for tens of thousands of songs. Add this to the previous infringements and Spotify should think about starting a “getting sued” playlist. Will other music-streaming services capitalize on Spotify’s mistakes? We’ll see!
