Kiwis Get Saved From Vacation
Have you ever gone on vacation only to return home feeling like you had spent the whole time waiting in long lines, being jostled by crowds, and generally not vacationing at all? Kiwis Marela and Sam were stuck in the Louvre’s notorious crowds, when they were offered an interesting escape from it all: tour Oslo where “overtourism isn’t a problem”. The two were able to enjoy the Norwegian capital all-expenses paid, and became the stars of Norway’s tourism video that has now been viewed +1 million times.
If only we could have been saved from those family vacations at Disneyworld when we were kids.

IKEA Dives Deep Into AR
It was rumoured that IKEA would be extending their Augmented Reality efforts, and we were not disappointed when the Place App debuted. Built with Apple’s ARKit, the app allows iOS 11 users to place IKEA’s catalogue of furniture into the space they inhabit, to scale. The many applications have been hilarious.
Now if only they could include videos on constructing the furniture we'd be totally satisfied.

Waze and Spotify Learn To Cooperate
Do you use Waze? Do you use Spotify? Now you can use both together everywhere! A month or so ago, Waze released the ability to listen to your Spotify playlists while you are getting directions - a really great feature that makes driving safer - however, it was only available in the US. Now Canada has it, too!
Now we can have our own carpool karaoke sessions too!

Breaking News
After an earthquake shook Mexico to its core several days ago, a story emerged of a 12 year old girl named Frida Sofia who had been trapped under the rubble but was still alive. Many sent out heartwarming messages to the girl from all over the world. The news has broken through Twitter that in fact, this story was spread by Televisa television network falsely. Another unfortunate win for fake news.
These are very hard times, and it is so very uncool of Televisa to continue a story they knew was false.

Shopping Online Goes The Extra Mile
You can find any manner of businesses online, and social media interaction can make or break that sale for many customers. Plastic surgeon, Dr Alexander Rivkin, aims to spend at least 10 minutes a day on his social media pages, answering questions from new, old, and future clients. Meanwhile, a small bank in Oklahoma  has expanded its presence in its community by using social media, pancakes, donuts and wi-fi to build meaningful relationships (while restoring trust with past clients).
