“On social media, people are worried that they are being monitored while also being worried no one will pay attention to what they post.”

Instagram: Return Of The Giphy GIFs
We previously talked about Instagram pulling Giphy because of reoccurring offensive content. Following this, Giphy has pulled its socks up and moderated their “entire sticker library 4x” on top of permanently adding “another level of GIPHY moderation”. This moderation overhaul has allowed Giphy to be welcomed back t0 Instagram.

Memewatch: March Madness Brackets
We’ve seen these tournament-style brackets pop up all over the place over the past few days. We love the customizable nature of the format and the debates they’ve caused. Even us Truly Socialites have been fighting over who would win. Our favourites include Disney vs Pixar and Netflix. What’s super crazy about this one is just how quickly it turned meta. Somebody even made a bot that creates them!

Snapchat: Analyst Firm Confirms Hatred For Redesign
We’ve said it time and time again: we hate the new Snapchat. Now, the experts agree with us, too. MoffettNathanson conducted a bunch of analysis using middle school students, high school students, and college grads. The result? Everyone hates it. It’s not just about opinion though, since the research was revealed, Snap Inc. stock has fallen 7%. It might just be time for Snap Inc. to cut losses and find a happy medium for the design.

Memewatch: Squat & Squint Woman
Another one that’s doing the rounds is the Squat & Squint Woman. We’ve never seen anybody capture our collective sense of “what the hell is that?” so well. Other notable examples include restaurant problems and confusing signage. Our favourite part of this whole thing is that @Solo_Kalin (the actual subject of the meme) is very much aware of her status. We love a bit of self-awareness!
