Facebook Fallout: Mozilla Extends A Helping Hand
As Mozilla’s Firefox launches the ‘Facebook container’ extension, designed to “isolate your web activity from Facebook,” Zuckerberg and Co. are making your privacy setting easier to find on Facebook itself. Will these changes stop people leaving Facebook in droves? We’re not so sure yet. The drama is also spilling over to other social platforms. Twitter is under fire for reportedly selling direct-message data as part of its data-licensing business. We’re taking bets as to what platform is next on the chopping block.

Memewatch: American Chopper Memes Are Wheely Good
This latest meme really shifts things up a gear. It features the stars of ‘American Chopper’ Paul Teutul Sr. and his son Paul Teutul Jr. having a heated argument. This format saw some internet fame when the episode first aired in 2009 but it’s coming back with an insightful twist. Users on Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit have exploited this beautiful father and son moment to create insightful debates about Garfield and Star Wars. Of course, there’s the obligatory meta post, too. It’s spoke-tacular and we’ll never get tire-d of it.

Case Study: Cosmopolitan UK Is Insta-famous
Sometimes being funny and relatable is more important to your audience. That’s exactly the case with Cosmopolitan UK’s Instagram page in this case study. Unfortunately, when one brand does the whole ‘sassy-social’ thing well, others follow poorly. Get ready for an inundation of “WE LOVE MAY-MAYS TOO” posts from rival magazines.

Snapchat: Gives You More Control Over 3rd Party Apps
Likely due to the recent privacy apocalypse, Snapchat is apparently working towards a feature which will let you control which 3rd party apps have access to your account. We’re loving the transparency that the social media giants have adopted suddenly for no apparent reason because they’re all super nice all of a sudden… Ugh.
