Snap Shares Fall Because Somebody Said So
Kylie Jenner declared that Snapchat was dead on Twitter, and stocks plummeted. According to Routers, this cost Snap Inc. around $1.5 billion in market value. Yep, you read that correctly. We’re hoping that other factors may have caused this (possibly, its awful, awful, awful, awful update) because this is terrifying otherwise.  She then tweeted this (presumably at the request of her legal team) and now everything is 100% fine and there are rainbows and unicorns everywhere. Oh, no, wait - it’s still not good. You’re telling me that influencers should think before they post? Novel idea.

Facebook Ad Saga Continues
As traffic continues to decline for Facebook, it seems that changes need to be made in the way that it interacts with advertisers. Today, Facebook announced that it would be making changes to its ad metrics. These changes include greater transparency (i.e. if an ad metric is an estimate or in development) and removal of unhelpful metrics. We’ll see how it works out.
For those of you who are metrics-mad.

This Twitter Account Is Font-agious
Our favourite Twitter account this week is @FontsInUse. They identify which fonts are used on various products and media and it’s (oddly) SUPER interesting. They went viral today for ‘sauce-ing’ all of the separate fonts on the Sriracha Hot Sauce bottle. Hot stuff!
We know what you're thinking. Yes, there's a Sriracha movie. Yes, we're watching it this weekend.

#ArmMeWith
Teachers around the U.S are using the hashtag #ArmMeWith to protest a call to arms by pro-gun activists. Rather than guns, teachers would prefer to be armed with time, resources, and support that they actually need. This is one call to arms we can get behind.
Arm with knowledge, not with guns.

11 Derps And Spices
It’s been a bad week for Colonel Sanders. After social media went nuts over a chicken shortage in it’s UK stores, KFC released this tongue-in-cheek ad in an attempt to mitigate the PR damage. Unfortunately, when KFC attempted to give away surplus chicken to charities, it’s didn’t exactly work out as chronicled in this epic timeline.
