Amazon Announces Anytime Messaging App
Amazon finally released some more information on their Anytime app and we see that it might rival current popular social networks by tying into the retail giant. The application seems like it will be able to have photo and video sharing, apply filters to photos, mention other users, and contact sellers on the site for customization and customer service options previously unavailable. Messenger ShopBot - it’s your move. The Verge.

36 Questions Defines a Genre Through Podcast
Podcast musicals have not been a successful venture for many, with the concept falling flat due to lack of ability to carry performance into just a few minutes of pure sound. Latest podcast musical 36 Questions has managed to harness the power (and take on the challenge) of writing a musical specifically for podcasts in an interesting and relevant way, by using the story of strangers in a psychological experiment of intimacy through the famed ‘36 Questions’ that determines interpersonal closeness. We can’t wait to follow the couple through this bittersweet romantic exploration every week! The Vulture.

Snapchat Reveals Another 2 Features in Major Upgrade
Snapchat announced that they will be introducing two new features to add to their other recent additions. The app will be allowing iOS users (Android will be coming soon) to record up to 6 ten second snaps in a row, basically creating a 60 second stream of snap videos called Multi-Snap. The new Tint brush will give Snap users the ability to selectively colour areas of their image with a paintbrush. These additions are part to several new additions (mentioned in past Daily Distractions) to the Snap line up, which has us wondering - what is Snapchat up to? Tech Crunch.
We're going to be making wild guesses at Snapchat's latest strategy for a while.

New CN Tower Mascot is Both Disappointing and Hilarious
Toronto’s CN Tower has revealed it’s first mascot since the 1970s (a horrifying clown on extra-long stilts), and it’s exactly what you would expect: a tower with arms. The unfortunately bland mascot has no name, but Buzzfeed has suggested Kevin or BlogTO suggested “towery”. With no apparent personality (or face) the tower is simultaneously politically correct, lacking in cliché, and a little bit boring. Maybe we can try again in another 40 years. Buzzfeed.
Kevin or Towery, in all his glory was unveiled in a post on Instagram.
