Naughty List: Apple Admits To Slowing Older Devices
Apple has long been suspected of slowing down it’s older models to encourage consumers to adopt newer ones. However, Apple has admitted that it has made changes to how iOS manages ageing batteries, meaning that it does slow older models to preserve battery life. We do know that the many upgrades to a phone’s operating system over its lifetime may diminish its performance over time. Basically, Apple isn’t making your shiny new tech to last - a disappointment considering the hefty price tag.

With all the drama about slowing devices, it’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Apple’s podcast analytics service. We’d almost forgotten about it until we heard that Apple has launched the new service in beta. Creators running iOS 11 and iTunes 12.7 will be able to see helpful insights like which country people are listening from, episode completion rates, and exactly when listeners stopped listening.
