Instagram: IGTV & Big Numbers
Big news x2 for Instagram this week: Not only did IGTV officially go live yesterday (literally as we were talking about it) but the platform also hit 1 billion monthly active users, putting Instagram well ahead of Twitter and Reddit. Currently leading the race is Facebook (who owns Insta, BTW) with 2.19 billion. As you can tell, it’s been a good week for the IG!

So… uh, Snapchat has added real-time weather effects and other local features to Maps. It’s kind of cool, we have to admit, but nobody uses Snapchat to check the weather any more than people use The Weather Network to send selfies to friends.
