It’s my last week in Lithuania.
After 6 long months, I’m excited to change the environment. First stop – Barcelona.
It’s a little hectic as I’m trying to manage work, fun and home hunting but these are all good problems to have.
Welcome to another edition of Life Designed where I share the knowledge and resources to help you live better.

New month, new deals! Kindle Monthly Deals is a monthly Amazon promotion program. You can save up to 80% off on month’s selection of top-rated Kindle books. This month you can get books by Russell Brand, Terry Pratchett, Rolf Dobelli and Napoleon Hill.
To make everlasting positive changes, you must come to the conclusion that there are no quick fixes for any area of your life. While life plan won’t solve all of your problems, I believe it’s a useful tool to help you get where you want to go. Here are some ideas to help you raise some questions and design a strategic life plan to live on your terms.
If you’re broke, you’re lucky, it could be worse. I was never good with money but freelancing and being able to make a living online is empowering. Here’s a nice piece explaining how to get started even if you think it’s not for you.
With half a million dollars in debt, I was lost. This was my own doing: getting married, having a baby and getting our own home shouldn’t all come together at one shot, but they did. Especially in Singapore where housing isn’t cheap (you’d be lucky to find an 800 sq ft HDB flat at US$180,000), I must say we could have been smarter about our lives.
I’ve been listening to Alan Watts’ work recently and find it very soothing. Here’s a little nostalgic but empowering speech by Alan Watts talking about our pure nature and nothingness.
What if you could take action on your dreams and goals in life now, rather than put them off in the future? Create a plan for improvements in different parts of your life every 90 days.
An interesting (and backed) way of looking at search traffic and infinity of opportunities to rank fast.
The only thing that really matters is whether the keyword makes sense and if you think you can rank for it. Remember, ALWAYS err on the side of action — if you’re spending more time eliminating keywords from your list based on this or that criteria versus actually writing, you’re doing it wrong.
I’m curious how many of these words you used without knowing their meaning? In my case, a lot!
What do great men like Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt all have in common? They all were proficient in Latin.
On Saturday, my wife and I are moving to Spain. It’s been 6 long months in Lithuania and I can’t wait to change the environment. I can’t tell if Spain will become my permanent home but I’m curious to find out how it is to live there.
It’s an unavoidable fact of life that no one will ever be able to incorporate every factor they desire into one place. If you want to live in NYC, you’ll have to pay high rent and probably be away from your family. If you want to live in the country, you’ll have to give up the conveniences of the burbs.
I love to read and all the reading lists are the reason I don’t get as much done as I should. Here’s a curated directory of impactful books to help you along your startup journey.
It’s crazy how many people still use “password123” as their password, don’t even bother to use a password manager or turn on the 2-step verification. Maybe reading this article will motivate you to protect your data.
Once they got to their room, the hackers concentrated on finding the hotel’s internal network—the one used by staff, not the one guests use to stream pornography and FaceTime their families. In one famous example, hackers breached the internet-connected fish tank in the lobby of a Las Vegas casino and used that exploit to find a database of high rollers on the property’s internal network.
The present of work is remote. Here’s a curated list of established remote/distributed/virtual tech companies. It’s a neat resource if you’re looking for the next remote gig.

Food for Thought
“A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life.” – Charles Darwin
“This is the best reason to learn history: not in order to predict the future, but to free yourself of the past and imagine alternative destinies. Of course this is not total freedom – we cannot avoid being shaped by the past. But some freedom is better than none.” – Yuval Noah Harari
“Make improvements, not excuses. Seek respect, not attention.” – Roy T. Bennett
“The desire to reach for the stars is ambitious. The desire to reach hearts is wise.” – Maya Angelou
“Knowledge kills action; action requires the veils of illusion.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
