Happy Wednesday!
Last weekend I visited Sartai Horse Racing fest and had some BBQ while freezing my bottom in the open air.
The annual horse races had been organized on the frozen lake but nowadays this tradition is abandoned because of safety requirements. The race takes place at a hippodrome on the shore of the lake.
Other than that, my girlfriend and I got hooked on watching Suits TV series and impressed by Harvey Specter’s audacity.
Welcome to another edition of Life Designed where I share the knowledge and resources to help you live better.

The following fables have had a profound effect on my life and helped me develop a powerful perspective on life. It’s a humbling reminder of our mortality and impermanence. Read it slowly and let it sink in.
Here are my top recommended books from available Kindle monthly deals up to 80% off. I enjoyed a lot The Art of the Good Life by Rolf Dobelli.
Standing strong in the face of adversity is one of the most life-altering challenges we can all go through. Here is my list of helpful Stoicism books to stay grounded even during tough times.
There are certain subjects in your life you think about a lot. People, places, hobbies, health, plans, finances. Derek Sivers suggests you keep a journal on these things to help your future self make better decisions.
“People are much more efficient if they monotask.” Phyllis Korkki wrote a massive guide on productivity for The New York Times where you can find a lot of gems to improve your work.
Nat Eliason argues you don’t need a budget because it’s limiting. Instead, he suggests you use one of the three levers to grow your net worth.
Stock photos designed to work together. They give a clean, minimalist look to your designs. You can use for free by providing a link back to the source.
NightOwl allows you to easily manage which of your Mac apps should stay light, while your system runs in Dark Mode.
This is the speed of light in a real-time model. It takes 1.255 seconds for the light to travel from Earth to the moon.
Food for Thought
“Win a no win situation by rewriting the rules.” – Harvey Specter
“Organizations, like people, have values. To be effective in an organization, a person’s values must be compatible with the organization’s values. They do not need to be the same, but they must be close enough to coexist.” – Peter Ferdinand Drucker
“Research shows that three characteristics are related to persuasiveness: perceived authority, honesty, and likability. When someone has any or all of these characteristics, we’re not only more willing to agree to that person’s request, willing to do so without carefully considering the facts.” – Robert Levine
“Ninety-nine percent of the failures come from people who have the habit of making excuses.” – George Washington Carver
“There were many terrible things in my life, but most of them never happened.” – Montaigne
