Happy Halloween! 🎃
I’m enjoying my last week in Bali while working on some exciting projects for my clients.
Recently I discovered the work of Julian Shapiro and immersed myself into learning more about running an agency, choosing a career path and mastering B2B sales.
He’s an inspiring and practical writer and if you’re looking to improve your life or business, read his writings now. Take notes. Reread. Apply.
Welcome to another edition of Life Designed where I share the knowledge and resources to help you live better.

Most people running service businesses have no idea what they’re doing. One of them is me. Read and learn if you’re running an agency or thinking about starting one.
In the year 44 BC, Cicero was in his sixties — an old man by Roman standards — living on his farm outside of Rome removed from political power by the dictatorship of Julius Caesar. He turned to writing to ease the pain of exile and the recent loss of his beloved daughter. In a period of months, he produced some of the most readable and influential essays ever written on subjects ranging from the nature of the gods and the proper role of government to the joys of growing older and the secret to finding happiness in life. Among these works was a short essay on friendship dedicated to Atticus.

Never ask a man anything that begins with the words “Could you…” This way, he will think that this is a theoretical question. For example, never ask “Could you call the neighbors,” because the answer “yes” will mean “Yes, theoretically, I could.” So, rephrase your hidden request to “Please, call the neighbors.”

“No is a complete sentence.” – Anne Lamott
“Routine, in an intelligent man, is a sign of ambition.” – W. H. Auden
“Remember that if you don’t prioritize your life someone else will. But if you are determined to prioritize your own life you can. The power is yours. It is within you.” – Greg McKeown
